Being well aware of the realities of our country and having close experiences as regards the difficulties faced by the vast majority of our population to access justice, WDA legal has assumed the commitment of rendering the high quality legal services that have become a staple of our firm, free of charge, to poor or less privileged individuals and communities and to the organizations that assist them.

In connection with the foregoing, WDA legal has subscribed and fully endorses the “Declaration on Pro Bono Work for the American Continent” sponsored by the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice Initiatives of the New York City Bar, through which it assumed the commitment of contributing a minimum of 20 hours or three days of Pro Bono legal services per lawyer, every year. All the professional resources of WDA legal – – from founding partners to the most junior associate – actively participates in a project under our Pro Bono Program.

Even though Pro Bono projects are approved by the partners of the firm to procure certain uniformity and administrative control, each lawyer chooses in which projects she or he wishes to participate. In this manner, the outstanding legal aptitudes that characterize our professionals are further empowered and enhanced with authentic compassion and desire to help. Our aim is to have good intentions merge with sound actions and legal strategies to produce real and tangible results for those who we assist.

In March 2013 Legal WDA was selected as one of the leading law firms in Latin America in pro bono work for its performance during 2012, according to a survey conducted and published by the prestigious firm Latin Lawyer, together with the Cyrus R.
