Mr. Weininger focuses on the formation and continuing representation of joint venture companies that include domestic and foreign as well as public and private sector investors. Mr. Weininger counsels firms in their corporate activities and business transactions in Venezuela, primarily in the energy, construction, petrochemical, banking, telecommunications, technology and trade-related industries.

Mr. Weininger has broad experience in mergers and acquisitions of companies throughout Latin America and coordinates legal work rendered in different jurisdictions for companies conducting business in the region. He also renders legal advice regarding loan restructuring and related security agreements, stock and asset purchase transactions, and general corporate and transactional work.

Mr. Weininger is on the list of arbitrators of the Arbitration Center of the Caracas Chamber of Commerce and the Business Conciliation and Arbitration Center (CEDCA), Venezuela’s most active arbitration centers. He leads the Caracas office’s international dispute resolution team. He has in-depth experience in negotiation, mediation and arbitration and has actively participated in large international and domestic commercial disputes.

Mr. Weininger has served as counsel for both plaintiff and defendant clients participating in arbitration and has acted as arbitrator and president of arbitral tribunals. He is co-author of the Venezuelan chapter of the book Arbitration in Latin America, published by Kluwers Law Publishers.

Mr. Weininger has taught law at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in both the undergraduate and graduate studies programs.
